Ace Water Features
Enhance your Living Space
Why go Pondless?
Pondless water features, or fountainscapes, are very popular among our clients, because any space or lay of land can accommodate for them. Whether you are looking for something small in the front yard, or by the front door to welcome people into your home, or you have a naturally steep back yard that is just dying to have a waterfall incorporated into it, a pondless waterfeature will get the job done! If that wasn't convincing enough, they are very low maintenance. Once they are installed, you rarely have to give them any attention, other than enjoying them, of course!
How does a Pondless Waterfeature work?
Pump Vault
The pump vault is where the pump is stored underground in the water reservoir. This reservoir consists of the pump vault and the aquablox, in order to achieve the required volume of water for the water feature. The vault has a lid making future access to the pump for maintenance a breeze.
Aquablox
These aquablox fill in the reservoir to create water volume under the ground level of the feature, meaning they are not visible to the eye once the project is completed. They are made from a very durable material, and can hold a few tons of weight on top of them, leaving lots of room for creativity when it comes to the size of stonework!
Flex PVC Pipe
The flex pvc pipe is what connects the pump to the spillway at the top of the feature. It runs parallel to the feature, and is buried a few feet underground. Once again, it is made out of a very durable material, allowing it to bend without the possibility of it breaking, and it will not freeze when the weather reaches freezing temperatures.
Spillway
The spillway is positioned at the top of the water feature on a leveled surface. It clamps to the liner and is connected to the pvc pipe to ensure a water tight connection. Is it 100% covered with stonework, and further camouflaged with plants and driftwood.
